 The great thing about my job is that I can source for as many clients as I can but the worst thing is when they all have jobs for me to take care of on the same day. My day begins earlier than usual today and after a rather filling breakfast I’m seated at my desk at 7:00 am rather than the 8:00 am I’m used to.
Where does someone start? My US client has just a few articles that are needed by close of business the very same day while the Australian client has a whole heap of work that is due the following day. I opt to start with the US-bound job then work on the other batch. My ISP is still quite clumsy and I swear at them angrily every time the connection goes down. The first job is done and sent so I now start on the other batch. The required assignment is quite dull and I’m wondering if it will be done on time.
A friend keeps beeping my phone until I have to turn it off just to piss them off – the weekend is still far off. Evening approaches and it’s time to go for supper with my brother again. My nagging tooth has been quite torrid through the day and I really have to schedule for the dentist’s tomorrow. It’s bound to be a late night; I can’t even watch the day’s news. |
